Octopot

This is a pretty early piece, but I still love the way it turned out. I had made a bunch of little bowls and, happy with the way they came out, wanted to play around with carving. 

What can I say? I was starting to get in the Halloween mood.

Clay: MB
Glaze: Black Stain and Light Celadon
Firing: Cone 10 Reduction

When glazing, I did a very light spray of Light Celadon, so very little of the glaze color is on there. To be honest, that was an error on my part. I had hoped for some sea green color, but I ultimately ended up liking the primitive effect here so much that I purposefully replicated it on some other pieces.
